Description

1985 Fiat Allis FR15 Wheel loader, showing 8456 hours on a working meter, comes with 5FT forks and 4 IN 1 Bucket.

Machine weighs 28,840lb with the forks, and has decent 20.5X25 Rubber.

The old loader runs and operates good, engine runs perfect, has great power, runs cool, doesn't have any blow-by, doesn't smoke, and doesn't have any major oil leaks.

The transmission is a ZF 4 speed, goes through all the gears like it should and pulls good and strong.

The hydraulics are strong and everything works like it should, all the cylinders are dry, all the pins in the lift are tight and not all sloppy, steering is tight, center pins have a little wear, but not worn out by any means.

This machine is equipped with a 3rd function valve and has an ASC Quick Coupler.

Here is a list of the items that work or do not work on the machine:

  • All the gauges work except the fuel gauge and the Tachometer
  • Heater, wiper, and lights do not work
  • The key broke off in the key switch. A flat screw driver starts it fine
  • The cab has a little rust in it, but the rest of the machine is solid
  • The brakes do not work. The brakes are air and the brake pedals are missing. The machine builds and holds air and I believe if you put a new foot valve and pedal on it, you will have brakes.
  • Has an ASC Quick coupler that is not working. I have not looked into what the cause is, but shouldn't be that hard to figure out and get working
  • The machine has an axillary fuel tank hooked up on the driver side of the machine. Previous owner stated they kept clogging up fuel filters and installed this tank. They pulled the original tank off from the machine and had it cleaned, reinstalled, but never hooked it back up.

This machine is not perfect, is not new, but is a solid old loader that will give you an honest days work for a fraction of the price as a new machine. I believe the hours are accurate on the machine given it was an original municipal machine, how tight the pins and steering are, and how it runs and operates.
