1994 SSI Shredding Systems 5000-ED Dual Shaft Hook Shear Shredder

• Completely rebuilt and/or reconditioned in 2020 including both 200 HP electric motors
• Shredding chamber is split into two sections; 1.5" and 2"
• Unit was operated in a climate controlled indoor facility since rebuild
  • Total unit hours are unknown, but unit has low working hours since rebuild and cutters are in excellent shape
  • 90% of life remaining on cutters
• Used to process insulated copper wire, URD, insulated aluminum wire, aluminum copper radiators, and aluminum radiators

• SSI smart drive electrical panel, new in 2020
• Stand alone HMI control center, new in 2020
• Shredder
• Hopper
• Shredder stand
• 2 x 200 HP electric motors
• Several used spacers, cutters, finger shims (if wanted), and a new oil seal kit

Shredder has been disassembled and is ready for transport

• Cutters removed from shredding chamber, shredding chamber and stand will be separated, electric motors are disconnected
• Basic reassembly would include placing the unit back on the stand, putting the cutters back into the shredding chamber, putting the electric motors back on, and connecting the electrical cabinet and control center
• There is a small leak on the gear reducer that should be repaired before reassembly
• Unit was in excellent working condition before disassembly

Unit was decommissioned and disassembled due to company being bought out and moved site locations in March of 2023

Seller is willing to load the equipment on buyer's truck(s) and estimates that shipment will require two flatbed trucks due to the weight of the main shredding chamber being approximately 40,000 lbs. Total estimated weight of all components included is approximately 75,000 lbs.
